YOGI TEA CHOCO TEA (17 FILTERS)

A delicious and tender blend of traditional chai spices and cacao shells, YOGI TEA® Choco Tea has been a favorite for years. Cacao joins sweet licorice, cinnamon, spicy ginger, and cardamom in a heavenly blend. Sit back, sip, and enjoy the wonderful aroma of chocolate. Best served sweetened with a little milk, whether dairy or plant-based. The essence of this infusion is: "Delicious indulgence."

Ingredients:

Cocoa shell*, licorice*, cinnamon*, carob*, malted barley*, cardamom*, ginger*, cloves*, cinnamon extract, vanilla extract*, black pepper*, ginger oil*, vanilla pod** organic farming
  • Cocoa shell The shell of the cocoa bean has a mild, sweet aroma similar to that of the bean itself, although it contains far fewer calories.
  • Licorice , also known as licorice, has been known as a medicinal plant since ancient times and is one of the 50 basic herbs of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It is about 50 times sweeter than sugar and has a mildly sweet, sour, and bitter taste. Thanks to its valued nutrients, licorice was chosen as the medicinal plant of the year in 2012.
  • Cinnamon Cinnamon is one of the most expensive spices in the world and was probably used as a spice and medicinal plant in China as early as 3,000 BC. Cinnamon is obtained from the bark of the South Asian cinnamon tree. It has a sweet, aromatic flavor and contains numerous tannins and beneficial essential oils.
  • Carob tree, native to the Mediterranean and Asia, is a medicinal plant belonging to the legume family. The elongated, brown fruits of the carob tree, which grow up to 18 meters tall, have a sweet taste and contain seeds weighing exactly 0.197 grams each. Due to this natural curiosity, carob seeds were used in ancient times as a unit of measurement for diamonds.
  • Barley malt Barley belongs to the grass family and is native to the Near East and the eastern Balkans. Germinated barley malt, which is sour and spicy, contains not only magnesium, calcium, and potassium, but also numerous essential amino acids that the body cannot produce on its own.
  • Cardamom has been one of the most popular spices throughout Asia and the Arab world for thousands of years. Its delicate, spicy-sweet aroma makes it ideal for use in numerous dishes, from spicy curries to spiced Christmas sweets. Thanks to its essential oils and other important nutrients, cardamom is also one of the oldest medicinal plants in the world.
  • Ginger has been used in the Far East for over 3,000 years as a spice and medicinal plant. It has a spicy, fruity flavor and contains, in addition to various vitamins, essential oils, and valuable minerals.
  • Cloves are the buds of the clove tree and are best known in our latitude as a spice in dishes such as gingerbread or red cabbage. They belong to the Myrtaceae family and have an intense spicy aroma, which is why they were even paid for with gold in ancient China and Egypt.
  • Black pepper, also known as the "queen of spices," is currently, along with salt, the most important spice in the world. It originally comes from the Malabar coast of India and has an intensely spicy flavor with varying degrees of heat. Ancient Ayurvedic medicine recommends black pepper not only as a condiment, but also, due to its valuable ingredients, as a medicinal plant.
  • Vanilla The "queen of spices" is one of the world's most popular flavorings. It belongs to the orchid family and is native to Mexico. Its delicate flavor and complex processing make vanilla a particularly prized spice and medicinal plant.

Preparation:

Pour 250 ml of freshly boiled water over the tea bag. Let it steep for 7 minutes—or longer for a more intense flavor. Add milk and sweeten to taste.
