YOGI TEA NATURAL DEFENSES (17 FILTERS)
During the ups and downs of the seasons, our immune system may sometimes need a little boost. In addition to a varied and balanced diet as part of a healthy lifestyle, it's the perfect time to enjoy a hot cup of YOGI TEA® Natural Defenses. The sweet and sour taste of echinacea combines with fruity elderberries and aromatic basil. The beneficial natural vitamin C from acerola naturally strengthens the immune system. The essence of this infusion is: "Well protected."Ingredients:
Echinacea*, rosehip*, dehydrated acerola juice*, basil*, cinnamon*, ginger*, cardamom*, elderberries*, black pepper*, moringa*, hibiscus*, cocoa shell*, licorice*, fennel** Organic farming- Echinacea: Echinacea is a wild plant from North America, which was already highly valued by Native Americans. It grows up to 90 cm tall and has purple leaves. Echinacea has a sweet, savory flavor with a hint of bitterness.
- Rosehip , a member of the Rosaceae family, has bright red berries containing small, fruity nuggets. It grows wild throughout Europe and Asia, directly in sunny areas. Rosehips have a tangy to slightly sweet flavor, depending on the time of harvest.
- Acerola: Bright red, that's the acerola. The fresh, acidic, fruity fruit flourishes mainly in South America and Jamaica, in ravines, along riverbanks, on mountain slopes, or along roadsides. Its pulp is especially juicy and contains 80% liquid.
- Basil: This "royal plant," as the ancient Greeks called basil, arrived in Northern Europe in the 12th century. It has a wonderfully savory aroma that stands out both in Mediterranean cuisine and in freshly brewed tea.
- Cinnamon: One of the most expensive spices in the world, it was believed to have been used in China as early as 3,000 BC. Cinnamon is obtained from the bark of the Southeast Asian cinnamon tree. It has a sweet, aromatic flavor and contains valuable essential oils.
- Ginger: In Christmas cookies, curries, or as lemonade: The bulbous ginger is one of the most popular spices in the world. It has been cultivated for millennia in the tropical heat of East Asia and gives many YOGI TEA® infusions their spicy, aromatic, and savory flavor.
- Cardamom has been one of the most popular spices throughout Asia and the Arabian Peninsula for millennia. Its delicate, mellow aroma predestines cardamom for use in many dishes, from spicy curries to aromatic Christmas cakes.
- Elderberry: Elderberries were already part of the human diet around 6,000 years ago. The shiny black fruits, also known as camphor flowers, are ideal for desserts, juices, and natural infusions. They have a sweet, bitter, and fruity flavor.
- Black pepper , nicknamed the "king of spices," is today, along with salt, the most important spice in the world. It originally comes from the Malabar coast and has an intense, slightly hot to hot spicy flavor.
- Moringa , native to the Himalayas, is a fast-growing plant that reaches up to 3 m in its first year. The pod-shaped fruits, when cooked, taste like beans, while the seeds are reminiscent of chickpeas.
- Hibiscus , called mallow in some areas, originally comes from the tropics and, in addition to its beauty, is prized for its fruity, sweet-and-sour flowers. Thanks to its large blossoms, it is found in many European gardens.
- Cacao , native to the Latin American rainforest, is best known for its seeds, the raw material for chocolate. The cocoa bean shell also has a mild, sweet aroma and is very low in calories.
- Licorice , an essential component of licorice sweets, has been known since ancient times. It has a sweetening power 50 times stronger than sugar and has a mild, sweet, bitter-sour flavor.
- Fennel is part of the Apiaceae family and has been appreciated around the world for millennia for its intense aroma. It originates from the Mediterranean and its sweet, savory flavor is reminiscent of anise.
Preparation:
Pour 250 ml of freshly boiled water over the bag. Let it steep for 7 minutes—or longer for a more intense flavor. Add milk and sweeten to taste.
