Coenzyme Q-10 is produced in our body and is found in the mitochondria of cells, participating in energy production chains. CoQ-10 is found in all cells of the body, but its levels are highest in the heart, skeletal muscle, and other tissues with high energy demand. For this reason, we can obtain coenzyme Q10 from foods such as offal, red meat, and fish.

Coenzyme Q10 exists in two chemical forms: ubiquinone (or oxidized form) and ubiquinol (or reduced form), forming a redox system in which coenzyme Q10 continuously transforms from one form to another while performing its function in the body.
