Presentation and composition:

1-gram softgels: 200 softgels with 1000 mg of cold-pressed evening primrose oil with at least 10% GLA, 5 mg of natural vitamin E, and d-alpha tocopherol acetate (50% RDA). Gelatin and glycerin coating. Approximate total weight: 1390 mg (including coating).

Properties:

Rich in essential fatty acids (gamma-linolenic and gamma-linolenic acids - GLA). A deficiency in GLA triggers a series of problems such as dryness and skin irritations, liver abnormalities, alterations in prostaglandin production, and even growth problems in children. Furthermore, evening primrose has regulatory effects on estrogen, progesterone, prolactin, and prostaglandin levels, making evening primrose oil a great ally for combating premenstrual symptoms (fluid retention, irritability, abdominal pain). GLA is found naturally in the triglycerides that form vegetable oils, in vegetables, and in some nuts; however, one of the best sources is evening primrose seeds. The need for supplemental evening primrose oil is increasing every day in modern society, where the intake of vegetables, greens, and unsaturated oils is decreasing. The usual amount of GLA in evening primrose oil is 9%, but higher grades reach up to 10%. The addition of vitamin E, tocopherol, to the formula acts as a cellular antioxidant and protects the oil from rancidity, thus ensuring its optimal condition.

Instructions for use:

1-2g of evening primrose oil per day, divided into two doses, with meals.
