503mg Softgels: 220 softgels with 500mg of cold-pressed evening primrose oil with 10% GLA, 2.5mg of natural vitamin E, d-alpha tocopherol acetate (25% RDA). Gelatin and glycerin coating. Approximate total weight 640mg (including coating)

Properties:

Rich in essential fatty acids (gamma-linolenic and gamma-linolenic acids - GLA). A deficiency in GLA triggers a series of problems such as dryness and skin irritations, liver abnormalities, alterations in the production of prostaglandins and even growth problems in children. Furthermore, evening primrose has regulatory effects on the levels of estrogen, progesterone, prolactin and prostaglandins, making evening primrose oil a great ally to combat pre-menstrual symptoms (fluid retention, irritability, abdominal pain). GLA is found naturally in triglycerides that form vegetable oils, in vegetables and in some nuts; however, one of the best sources is the evening primrose seed. The need for supplemental evening primrose oil increases every day in modern society; where the intake of vegetables, greens, and unsaturated oils is decreasing. The usual amount of GLA in evening primrose oil is 9%, but higher grades reach up to 10%. The addition of vitamin E and tocopherol to the formula acts as a cellular antioxidant and protects the oil from rancidity, thus ensuring its good condition.

Instructions for use:

1-2g of evening primrose oil per day, divided into two doses, with meals.
