Saw palmetto is a plant widely used to treat prostate inflammation and benign hyperplasia, without the side effects characteristic of drugs, such as impotence and dizziness. Saw palmetto, along with pumpkin, acts indirectly by inhibiting the enzyme responsible for the release of the hormone DHT, or dihydrotestosterone, which is responsible for prostate inflammation. The anti-inflammatory activity of cat's claw is believed to be due to the neutralization of organic substances with oxidative activity and the inhibition of some compounds secreted during the inflammatory response. Its immunostimulant activity is due to the alkaloids that increase the production of macrophages and lymphocytes. Zinc is an integral part of the male hormonal system and a primary component of semen. As men enter their fifties and beyond, there is a natural reduction in zinc, and a deficiency of this trace element can lead to prostate enlargement as well as a host of male problems, including impotence. Saw palmetto and zinc act directly to inhibit alpha-5 reductase and, therefore, the formation of dihydrotestosterone. Red ginseng increases zinc absorption and has an anti-inflammatory effect. Ingredients:
