Properties: Rich in alkaloids, flavonoids, sterols, and pectin, it is the synergistic action that gives it sedative, antispasmodic, and sleep-inducing properties. A potent natural hypnotic, it prolongs sleep time without causing drowsiness or dependence. It has a sedative action, which is why it is used in drug and alcohol detoxification treatments; due to its tranquilizing effect, the patient tolerates withdrawal symptoms better. Also related to the sedative effect is passionflower's ability to reduce the frequency and intensity of epileptic seizures. Finally, there is its antispasmodic effect, which relaxes muscles. For this reason, it is recommended for menstrual pain, dysmenorrhea, and stomach aches.

Instructions for use: as a tranquilizer, 2-4 tablets daily, divided into several doses. To improve sleep quality, 2-3 tablets before bedtime.

Warnings: do not administer during pregnancy or lactation, it may enhance the sedative effects of antidepressants, antihistamines, and alcohol.
